Buffalo Bayou Mural Festival brings International and Local Artists to East End Houston
This free three-day event is expected to bring hundreds of art fanatics and transform Canal Street

The Buffalo Bayou Mural Festival (BBMF), a free and one-of-a-kind artistic event spanning three consecutive days, will bring over twenty mural artists from the East End and worldwide to a colorful battle of the arts.
The main event will be hosted at Headquarters Houston, 3302 Canal Street, Houston, TX 77003. The vision is to cover the Headquarters building completely and neighboring buildings with original and colorful murals, forever transforming a section of Canal Street and making it a visible destination for art enthusiasts.
On Friday, October 18, BBMF will start with an art battle, ‘Texas vs. the World,’ and a lively party at the Tipsy Sloth on Navigation. The festival's second day is packed with activities, including painting, a vibrant vendor market, car shows, and live music from 12 PM to 8 PM. The second day will end with a meet-and-greet with the artists hosted at Bad Astronaut from 9 PM - 12 AM. The third day features a special Q&A session at Faded Decade, hosted by expert panelists who will share invaluable insights about their careers in art. The third day concludes with more mural paintings and the final day of our vendor market.
BBMF anticipates an attendance of over 1,000 people, over 30 market vendors, and over 20 muralists in an amazing three-day weekend.
The BBMF invites the entire city of Houston to this special event, free and open to the community.
